We aim to comply with priorities 1, 2 and where possible, 3 outlined in the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, as well as applying best practices regarding the structure and separation of content (XHTML 1.0) and design (CSS 2.0).
Accessibility help
BBC’s My Web My Way provides operating system and browser specific help for a range of accessibility issues, including:
- Help with seeing websites
- Help with hearing websites
- Help with reading websites
- How to use your keyboard and mouse to help you browse
There is no legislation yet in Pakistan similar to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995 that outlines the statutory obligation for service providers to provide the same level of access to disabled persons as it does to any other member of the public, and to ensure that barriers to access are removed. Therefore, there may be content on this website that may not meet standard defacto guidelines and FootMetrics provides a disclaimer.
Problems with this website?
It is our aim to keep up to date with the latest standards in accessibility, and we test this website regularly to ensure that we meet those standards. However, since there are no reliable, automated means of testing for accessibility and the process is done manually, occasionally we miss something. We would therefore appreciate your feedback to help us improve our service.
